How it works
Each player is worth his fantasy points a game times the games his team has left, less the games he's expected to miss injured, with your playoff weeks counted apart. A side that sends more players than it gets frees a roster spot for a streamer; a side that gets more has to drop someone.
Read the full method
- Points a game. This season's average and his last 15 games, blended evenly, then pulled toward last season while he's played few games this season. Scored with ESPN's default points.
- Games left. From the NBA schedule, from today to the end of the fantasy regular season. Without your league, the last 3 weeks of the season are the playoffs.
- Injuries. Out with a return date: the games before it. Out with no date: the next two weeks. Out for the season: every game. Day-to-day or doubtful: one game.
- The roster spot. A freed spot is worth a streamer: the 150th best player's points a game, over about 4 games a week. A side that gets more players than it sends drops its least valuable player, or a free-agent-level one when we can't see its roster.
- The verdict. Win or Loss on the rest-of-season points, or Close when the change is within 3% of what's traded. In a category league it's the categories you gain against the ones you lose, each your weekly total from here on and its rank in your league. A category where you're last or second last may be one you're punting, and you can leave those out.
- The other side. Their change too, marked likely acceptable when they gain or lose under 3%.
