This policy explains what HoopStreamLab ("we", "us") collects when you use hoopstreamlab.com, and how we handle it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Your email, if you join a waitlist, ask for a free trial or get in touch.
- Your league link or ID and your team, if you connect an ESPN league. We keep these in a cookie on your device so the planner remembers your league.
- Account and payment details, once accounts open. Card details go straight to our payment provider, and we never see or store them.
- Technical details such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit. These are kept in our hosting provider's logs to keep the site running and secure.
We don't ask for your ESPN password, and we don't collect sensitive information.
How we use it
- To run the tools you use, such as planning with your league's roster.
- To email you about the things you signed up for, such as a tool launching or your trial. Every email lets you unsubscribe.
- To run payments and accounts, once they open.
- To fix problems, prevent abuse and improve the site.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Who else handles it
We use a few service providers to run HoopStreamLab: our hosting and database provider (Render, in the United States), our domain and email forwarding provider (Cloudflare), our email sending provider, and our payment provider once payments open. Some of them store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We only use providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies
We use a cookie to remember your connected league. We'll add a cookie to keep you logged in once accounts open. We don't use advertising cookies.
Keeping it safe
Data travels over HTTPS and is stored with our providers, who restrict access to it. We keep your information only while we need it for the reasons above, or as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@hoopstreamlab.com. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we handled a privacy concern, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell account holders by email if the change matters.
